Music is the creative engine that powers the day-to-day work at STRUT Stories, and we have long enjoyed sharing songs and artists in seasonal playlists and cinematic ambience videos on the STRUT YouTube channel. In late 2026, STRUT Sounds debuted as a new outlet for original storytelling.
Independent by design, STRUT Sounds is home to BLONDSLAUGHT, an artist identity built around instrumental music influenced by hip-hop, synth, and other genres. BLONDSLAUGHT’s debut album, Back In the Future, explores the character’s world – a 20-track album presented as a complete sequence, with recurring characters and themes. Back In the Future hits streaming platforms December 8, 2026.
BACK IN THE FUTURE
An homage to classic movie soundtracks and concept albums, Back In the Future tells the story of BLONDSLAUGHT, a music producer who travels decades forward into the future in pursuit of an elusive beat that exists only in his memory.

WHO IS BLONDSLAUGHT?
BLONDSLAUGHT -- a.k.a. Mr. Blond, a.k.a. Metal Jaw, a.k.a A.K.A.J. – is an underground music producer in 1984 Detroit who crosses paths with a mysterious beat that unlocks his most creative idea yet. Chasing the sound down an alleyway, he stumbles through a portal and is transported to a future that feels familiar but is not his own.
Combining elements of hip-hop, synthwave, funk, rock, trip-hop, EDM, and more, Back In the Future follows BLONDSLAUGHT on his journey through a futuristic Detroit, introducing allies and enemies he meets along the way, including the mysterious Mr. Blond, the alluring Star, and the villainous Nethers.
THE WORLD OF BLONDSLAUGHT
Dressed in his signature metal jaw face mask, black denim, and Dunks, BLONDSLAUGHT is a music producer searching the future for an elusive beat that will become the foundation for his most important record yet.
In the future, BLONDSLAUGHT is pursued by The Nethers and their Cobra Commander-mask-wearing leader, Denim Double. The Nethers are relentless in their quest to capture and contain BLONDSLAUGHT’s music.
Star is the future’s most prolific and revered drum-and-bass DJ/producer. Her music mystifies crowds and BLONDSLAUGHT, who seeks her help in finding a sound he remembers from a place he’s never been.
Mr. Blond is a music producer with a mysterious-yet-familiar profile who becomes BLONDSLAUGHT’s first ally in the future. Mr. Blond directs BLONDSLAUGHT to seek out Star and later aids him in battle against The Nethers.
